Monitoring SIEM alerts in Splunk ES, conducting Tier-1 incident response, and analyzing Azure AD authentication logs and endpoint telemetry to detect and escalate threats.
Built ML-based Intrusion Detection Systems using Random Forest on NSL-KDD and CICIDS2017 datasets, with LIME and SHAP for explainable attack classification.

A full-stack campus marketplace platform built exclusively for LSUS students to buy, sell, and donate items securely. Implemented authentication and database-driven listings to create a structured and secure student ecosystem.
A student attendance management system using facial recognition for automated tracking. Admin users can register students, manage datasets, train models, and generate attendance logs, while students can securely access and manage their records.
A lightweight Windows desktop security application enabling users to encrypt, decrypt, and securely store sensitive data. Integrated AES-based encryption and user-isolated data storage to ensure confidentiality and secure authentication.
My name is Showrab Habib, and I came to the United States with a dream — to learn
from the best, grow into the best, and one day give back. Growing up in Dhaka,
Bangladesh, I was always the person people called when something went wrong with
their computer. That curiosity for technology never left me. It grew into a passion,
and that passion led me here.
I am currently pursuing a Master's in Cybersecurity & Networking at Louisiana State
University Shreveport with a perfect GPA of 4.0, working as a Student Security Analyst
through the LSUS–TekStream program. Every day I monitor real threats, investigate SIEM
alerts, and respond to incidents and every day I am reminded why I chose this field.
Cybersecurity is not just a career for me. It is the place where I get to do what I
have always wanted, defend people, protect their data, and stand between them and
those who mean harm.
Before stepping into security, I spent over 3 years building things on the web
e-commerce platforms, company websites, learning systems as a software engineer and
web developer across Bangladesh, Indonesia, and the US. That foundation in development
gives me a unique perspective in security. I do not just see the threat. I understand
the system being attacked.
Beyond the technical work, I believe in people and community. I serve as President of
the International Student Association at LSUS, a role that connects me to students from
all over the world who, like me, came here chasing something bigger than themselves.
I have also taught coding to students as young as elementary school age, because I
believe technology should be accessible to everyone.
My dream is simple but meaningful, to build something that protects people, whether
that is in the United States, back home in Bangladesh, or anywhere in the world where
good security work is needed. I am not just here to get a job. I am here to make a
difference.
